RUSSEL'S VIPER SNAKE RESCUE AT MIRA ROAD

RUSSEL'S VIPER SNAKE RESCUE AT MIRA ROAD

A call was received by our Activist Salim Charania from a person staying in Star Avenue Society of Ramdev Park in Mira Road who reported that a snake was found in their society compound.  Salim asked the caller not to approach the snake.  He reached the venue accompanied by a qualified snake rescue activist Mr. Alex and Prashant.  The snake was spotted and found to be Russel's Viper which is an extremely venomous snake.  The snake rescuer captured the snake and placed it in a plastic jar.  The jar was taken to the Mira Bhayander Fire Brigade station and handed over to the fire brigade personnel.  The snake was subsequently released by the Fire Brigade officials in the nearly forested area in chena jungle

We truly appreciate the society members who did not panic and needlessly kill the snake but instead contacted Pawa India who could rescue the snake and release it.
