On 6th August 2015 Pawa India Team (Salim & Lata) was busy in a meeting with senior police of MIDC Police Station, Salim received a call from Jacklin D'souza an Animal Welfare Officer she said that one accused name Dheeraj Shah (Pic Left) who is running a garment shops in Marol was shooing away the dog who was sleeping 5 shops ahead from his shops, when Jacklin asked him to stop, he started talking in rude manner & behaved badly and asked her to go away using cheap words.
Salim advised her that call control room and take the accused to the police station, Salim & Lata reached Powai Police Station and understood the case, with the help of duty officer the accused was booked under Maharashtra police Act 110 (Local Act Charge No. 1153) where he paid a fine of Rs 1200/-
What Maharashtra police Act 110 says : Behaving indecently in public. No person shall willfully and indecently expose his person ill any street or public place or within sight of, and in such manner as to be seen from any street or public place, whether from within any house or building or not, or use indecent language or behave indecently or riotously, or in a disorderly manner in a street or place of public resort or in any office station or station house.
We advice all animal lover and animal feeder that Indian Laws are strong, just it is needed to be implemented with courage. Police are always helpful, they are animal & environment friendly too, just your message to the attending police officer should be clear and the reason to book the accused.
